Before you make a dormitory reservation, you must have your KEK User Registration completed in the User Support System. KEK dormitory reservation accepts reservation only within 45 days prior to your arrival. 

If it is necessary to change the dates or cancel your planned visit to KEK, please make respective changes yourself from your portal site before coming. After arrival to KEK, please inform the Users Office directly or by e-mail asap. 

Cancellation for KEK accommodation must be made at least one day before your occupancy. You will be required to pay full charge if you fail to do so. (Effective Dec. 1, 2005)

You can receive your room key from the dormitory superintendent office when you check in between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. You may reach him on ext. 5574 or PHS 2920. Please bring your print out of the Reservation Confirmation Sheet. If you arrive after 10:00 PM, your room key will be at the Information Center (Guards Office).

Please read carefully the "Dormitory Guide" provided in your room. You will find a bath and face towels, Nemaki (night gawn), body-soap and a rinse in shampoo. Hair dryers can be found in the common washrooms and each room in Bldg. 3 and 4. If you need extra blankets, please contact the superintendent. Smoking, cooking and eating are prohibited in all guest rooms.

Please put the room key into the green "Room Key Return Box" on the counter of the dormitory superintendent's office when you check out. Check out time is 10:00 AM.

There are kitchens, shower-room, lounge, laundry room in each building. Vending machines are located along the hallway to Bldg 2. You can buy frozen foods, instant noodle, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Coin-lockers are for a specific use, only so do not occupy them for a long period of time.

You can make a payment by cash or credit card in the Users Office. We accept VISA, Master, JCB, American Express and Debit cards. If you apply for travel expenses and reserve accommodation simultaneously, the accommodation charge will be deducted from the travel expenses provided, meaning you do not need to come to our Office (domestic Users, only).   Users from abroad get their travel support in cash, and dormitory charge is not deducted. Foreign Users are expected to make the payments at the Users Office.

Please confirm from your portal site, if you are eligible for the support/reimbursment.

Dormitories are closed from December 28 to January 3. 
During your stay, please try not to interfere the privacy of other Users. Also keep tidy and neat common use places like: kitchen, lounge, shower room, restroom and laundry. 

* Users Office will issue a warning on the first of the following month to those who failed their payments. Please note, in accordance to the present regulation, KEK dormitory fee should be paid prior to or during occupation of the room. 

* If you fail to pay the dormitory fee for two months after the warning was issued, Users Office will send you a letter of reprimend with imposed interests. 

* If you do not comply with the request within a month, your future stay in the dormitory will be refused.
